How to change the Nameservers to Stack Hosting
How you change nameservers depends on where your domain is registered. Most registrars let you do this in their control panel. Use this general guide:
1. Sign in to your domain registrar
Log in to the company where you bought the domain name.
2. Open domain management
- Find a section labelled Domains, My Domains, or similar.
- Select the domain you want to point to Stack Hosting.
3. Find nameserver settings
Look for Nameservers, DNS, or Domain Management, then choose custom / external nameservers if needed.
4. Enter Stack Hosting nameservers
Replace the existing nameservers with all four of these:

Replace your domain’s current nameservers with all four of these:
5. Save your changes
Save the nameserver update in your registrar’s control panel.
Important: Nameserver changes can take from a few hours up to about 24 hours to propagate. During that time your website or email may be temporarily affected. Enter the addresses carefully — a typo can take the domain offline.
If you already see these nameservers on your domain and you cannot log in, do not change them. Contact us about lost access instead. If you are unsure about any step while pointing a domain here, check your registrar’s help docs or contact their support.
Not sure what StackDNS is? Read what StackDNS and StackCP mean. If your domain already uses ns1 to ns4.stackdns.com and you can’t log in, don’t change the nameservers: see I can’t log in to my hosting account.
