Getting started

Welcome to Stack Hosting. Use this checklist after your hosting is set up so your website and email are ready to go.

1. Sign in to your account

Manage hosting, domains, email and support tickets from your Stack Hosting control panel.

2. Point your domain (nameservers)

If your domain is registered elsewhere, update the nameservers so it uses Stack Hosting DNS.

Replace your domain’s current nameservers with all four of these:

ns1 ns1.stackdns.com
ns2 ns2.stackdns.com
ns3 ns3.stackdns.com
ns4 ns4.stackdns.com

Note: Nameserver changes can take a few hours and up to about 24 hours to propagate worldwide.

3. Set up email

  • Create mailboxes in your control panel.
  • Check mail in the browser using the webmail link on our Email & webmail page.
  • Connect phones and computers using our email setup guides.

4. Check your website

  • Confirm the site loads on your domain once DNS has updated.
  • Check SSL is active (padlock in the browser).
  • Review what’s included so you know which tools are available in the panel.
