How to add your Stack Hosting email to Outlook for Mac
Connect your Stack Hosting email to Outlook for Mac with IMAP. Use your full email address as the username and the imap.stackmail.com / smtp.stackmail.com servers below.
These stackmail.com hostnames are the IMAP/SMTP details used for Stack Hosting email. On Stack Hosting they are the correct servers for your mailbox.
1. Open Outlook accounts
- Open Outlook on your Mac.
- Go to Outlook → Settings (or Preferences) → Accounts.
- Alternatively use Tools → Accounts.
2. Add your email address
- Click Add Account or the + button → Add Account / New Account.
- Enter your full Stack Hosting email address and click Continue.
- If Outlook assumes the wrong provider, choose Not Google / Not Microsoft / IMAP (wording varies) so you can enter servers manually.
- If you see Sync with Microsoft Cloud, turn it off for a standard IMAP mailbox, then select IMAP.
3. Enter IMAP settings
Enter your mailbox password, then use these server details (open Show advanced settings if needed):

Use these details when the app asks for server settings. Username is always your full email address.
4. Finish setup
- Click Add Account / Done.
- Wait for Outlook to sync folders, then send a test email.
Done. Your Stack Hosting email should now appear in Outlook for Mac.
Troubleshooting
